Just stopping by!

Just wanted to pop in and share this picture today!  In April I converted and received full communion in the Catholic Church and I owe it all to the curly-haired guy in the picture.  Watching  him and seeing how important his faith is to him throughout the course of our relationship was so inspirational.  It taught me a lot about myself and I never realized how beautiful it was to have God as a part of a relationship until he came along.  I'm so grateful to have him in my life and I love him like crazy.

Happy Monday everyone!

A few of my favorite moments from the past week

So as much as I'd love to explain all these photos right under the pictures themselves, Blogger is giving me a hard time today and won't let me.  So I'll start from the top!

See those fancy dressed up photos?  Don't we clean up well? Tim and I went with friends to an anniversary dinner for where we work and it was really nice.  I'm obsessed with the necklace I am wearing because I got it on super sale from the Gap that morning and it just happened to match my shoes perfectly.  It's so exciting when that happens.

The blue striped shoes are new as well and they were also a lucky find at the Gap.  I got them 50% off and any time that happens, you better know it was a good day.  Tim and I had gone shopping that day and because I am a child and we both love Disney, he bought me a George Sanderson from Monsters Inc. and I couldn't be more excited.  Pooh bear and the peas were the first things Tim ever bought me (for Valentine's Day.)

After those pictures was last Sunday right after Church.  It was beautiful out and it was just one of those days where you hardly wear makeup, wear a maxi dress, and hang outside with your man.  Tim has been wanting to play catch lately (only boy in the family syndrome) and so because I love him, I suck it up, put a glove on and throw my hardest.

That Sunday we also headed to Walmart so I could buy that awesome mason jar tumblr and obviously pause to take a picture with Mario (Tim's best guy friend is named Mario so we thought we were being funny).

Lastly, I had an awful day on Tuesday.  On top of putting up with crap from my University I had awful anxiety.  Tim surprised me and took me out to a great little Italian place for food and out for ice cream afterwards.  He is so amazing to me and I'm not too sure how I lucked out.

So sorry that was so much at once.  Life is busy over on my end and I can hardly keep up with myself, let alone the blog!  But I'm trying because I adore you all so much.

In other news, I am at work today and I am finding it hard to believe that it's only 11:30ish and that I haven't been here longer than an hour and a half.  I'm eager to go home even though I have an event tonight.  Womp.

I'm hoping to get the pictures up from my confirmation soon and talk a little about all of that and in the coming weeks I will be reviewing Daphne Oz's new book Relish and Joy Cho's book Blog, Inc.

Stay tuned and as always, thanks for reading :)

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone has a very blessed Easter!  Tim and I are with our respective families today but yesterday we cooked brunch for my family (recipe's to follow) and we went to Easter Vigil and had dessert with his!  During mass I got so excited watching the people receive full communion. I can't wait for next Sunday!

Enjoy your day's :)

February update!

I hope everyone is staying warm this month with all the snow and cold weather we have had.  Today is actually on the more mild side and I could not be happier.  I was excited to break out the lighter jacket today instead of going into the city with my pea coat.  Anyway, I know it has been a while since I've blogged last (almost a month to be exact...I suck, I know) but here I am again to update you all on the month of February!

It's been a busy month on my end but it's been filled with such beautiful moments.  Here is the run down:

On February 10, Tim and I celebrated our one year anniversary!  It was such a beautiful day and it felt amazing to come full circle.  He had to work that day so I spent it with his family.  His older sister Vickie did my hair for the night and I got ready to go out to dinner.  He bought champagne and met me at home to go out for the night.  We exchanged gifts (I got a camera!) and then headed to a sweet little Italian restaurant.  It was such a wonderful day for the two of us.  I love Tim so much and I am just so thrilled to be spending the rest of my life with him.  I think when you hit the one mark with someone or even approach it everything changes.  You guys settle in and the relationship isn't as new as it was, but it doesn't mean it isn't as exciting!  Tim and I are entering the next stage of our relationship and I am so so so so happy.

Febuary 14 is next.  Valentine's Day! I had to work this day but Tim came in a met me in the city.  We went to a great little pub by my work and ate a nice dinner together.  After that we had a horrible cab ride in which the man accidentaly took us to Lincoln Center instead of Rockefeller Center and then refused to take us to the right place without charging up.  $20 later....we made it to Rockefeller Center and went ice skating!  I wasn't feeling 100% but I stuck it out and we ice skated for a bit.  It was so sweet and fun and we survived the whole thing without falling!  MIRACLE!  It was nice to see all the couples on the rink.  Some were old, some were young, all seemed in love.  It was wonderful.  He ended the night by buying me my favorite flowers in the city :)

This past weekend, on Friday, I headed home for the night since I wasn't feeling too well.  My parents took me to a really nice dinner and then we just watched TV for the night.  I got really lucky and happened to stop home the same night my best friend did so we met in the morning for a great breakfast on my way out of town.  There is nothing like talking to your best friend and catching up.  I always tell Tim everything, he is first and foremost my best friend, but it is always nice to talk to a girl friend.

On Saturday morning I had my Call to Continuing Converting for my RCIA.  I am in the process of converting to Catholocism and I loved going to the Cathedral Bascilica in Newark for this special liturgy with people on the same journey that I am on!

Later on Saturday we celbrated several birthday's with Tim's family and went out to lunch with everyone.  Tim ordered a burger that came with a knife through it!  It was hilarious.  We also got some wonderful wonderful news within the family and I am so excited.

Later on Saturday I headed back to school and met my friend Ally for some dinner, shopping and desert.  We had a blast just bumming around town and went to this cute French place for macaroons!  They are my absolute favorite!

On Sunday I was craving the perfect cup of coffee (I am very sick and was due for..well you know).  The problem is that I can only have decaf coffee.  First we tried 711 which is our go to spot in town.  They of course have nothing.  Then we try McDonalds and the person was so slowwwww on the intercom thingy that we just bailed.  Ain't no ONE got time for that.  After I had a mini meltdown Tim took me to the diner we always get food at and I got my cup of coffee there.  Perfect.  The thing is Tim always smells like coffee, it is like my favorite thing ever.  He always makes his cup perfect at the diner so I wanted it to taste the same.  I'm glad we went back and made it happen.  He is the best <3

In other news I gave up froyo for Lent which is awful because all I want is FROYO.  Tim and I also gave up cellphones on Sundays so that we focus more on each other on that day.  Generally it is the only day we have nothing to do but be with each other.

(I'm probably forgetting a million things, but that is okay)

The rest of February is shaping up to be amazing as well so I will keep everyone posted!

Sunday recap!

Happy Sunday everyone!  It's cold in New Jersey and I am dreading the fact that I have class tomorrow...but that is besides the point.

It has been a really long week here and probably an even longer weekend.  Between staring my internship in the city with an hour and a half commute to rushing back for night classes and business dinners, I hardly had time to slow down.  This weekend I haven't slept past 6:30 a.m. once...not even ONCE.  Needless to say I am utterly exhausted and have to repeat it this week.  Yikes.

I'm so tired I don't even think I grasped a single thing from church this morning which is horrible of me.  I was just so focused on the million other little things going on.  It's funny because usually I have these weeks every once in a while but for some reason I don't see things slowing down in the near future.  February is a terribly busy month with wonderful things planned but man, it's times like these when I still wish I had caffeine!

On a totally weird side note tangent, I found out today that my married ex-boyfriend, whom I dated all through high school, is having a baby.  It was weird when he got married. I mean granted I wanted to get married like yesterday, but still, besides the point.  I think what makes this all the weirder is that my best friend growing up already has a little girl.  Holy moly....like what?  I in no way mean to judge and I wish them both the best but I suppose I view things differently.  I want to have a huge family, I just want to wait.  I want to spend years with Tim travelling and building a life we are both proud of and feel secure having.  Regardless, this morning I stopped and thought about all of it and couldn't help but feel that awful pang in my chest reminding me that it's not high school anymore.  That graduation is soon, that I have responsibilities, that I am an adult.  None of us are kids anymore and we certainly aren't all hanging out at the beach together talking about when our days would be like this...no they are surely here.
